As professional classic car appraisers and buyers for over twenty years, we should be jaded at this point because we aren’t. We still get a thrill when asked to appraise a unique classic car. And if you have a classic Bugatti, you truly have something special!a Bugatti valuation given on a classic car

Bugatti’s are known worldwide for their remarkable design and engineering. Ettore Bugatti was both an artist and engineer, and this combination of talents created something today’s car collectors are highly interested in. Because classic Bugatti’s is also very rare. For instance, the Bugatti Type 35 was manufactured between 1924 and 1932 and only 340 units were made. While the Bugatti Type 57 was manufactured between 1934 and 1940 with only 710 units built.  And they continue to wow the crowds, too. At the 73rd Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance, a 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports won Best in Show.

If you are the proud owner of a classic Bugatti, we recommend that you don’t try to sell it yourself. The smartest and quickest way to find a buyer is to contact a professional classic Bugatti valuation service.

How do you price a priceless classic Bugatti?

The history and reputation of the Bugatti brand is next-level. And the founder, Ettore Bugatti has been recognized by the Automotive Hall of Fame for his contribution to designing and engineering exceptional automobiles. But what does this mean for someone who owns a classic Bugatti and is ready to sell it?

We may be biased, but we recommend you contact a classic Bugatti valuation service. We understand the brand and love talking about the history of these phenomenal cars. But if you want to get down to business and find out the price of your “priceless” automobile, we can do that, too. And since these classic cars are scarce, the condition may matter less than you think because a sought-after classic Bugatti is valuable in any condition.

Here is a Jay Leno’s Garage video highlighting a 1935 Bugatti Aerolithe Coupe. This rare and beautiful supercar is hard to find, but once in a while, a Bugatti is discovered in someone’s storage unit or garage. The car’s condition may be shabby, but a Bugatti is no less valuable. And for those who have inherited a Bugatti without understanding its history, it’s wise to speak to a Bugatti valuation service. A rare classic car is money in the bank for someone who has been gifted one.

And for a car enthusiast holding on to a classic Bugatti as an investment, now is an excellent time to “cash in.” Yes, Bugatti’s are considered “priceless,” but a professional Bugatti valuation service can price them and make an impressive offer.

With Bugatti’s numerous impressive and unique designs released over the past 100-plus years, it makes sense that the company’s founder, Ettore Bugatti, was the son of Carlo Bugatti, an acclaimed artist, designer, and silversmith.

Ettore Bugatti

Ettore Bugatti showed the first of his cars during the year 1901.

Bugatti’s first car, the Type-2, was developed with the help of the Gulinelli brothers and ended up winning an award from the French Automobile Club. The project to further develop and release the Type-2 model was halted and then sold to another company due to the death of one of the Gulinelli brothers.

After Bugatti became head of technology at De Dietrich, Ettore developed the Type 5 model in 1903 as an upgraded version of the previous Gulinelli model. De Dietrich ended up terminating Bugatti’s contract due to their disapproval of Ettore’s focus on developing racing cars overproduction vehicles.

Following Ettore’s development of a four-cylinder engine vehicle for Mathis in 1905, Bugatti moved on to independently developing another 50 horsepower car, which he sold to the Deutz gas engine factory in 1907.

Jean Bugatti

Jean Bugatti served to succeed his father, Ettore, as the head of Bugatti in 1909. Through Jean’s efforts, legendary Bugatti models such as the Type 57S Atlantic were created. Other impressive accolades that Jean Bugatti held include his leadership of Bugatti’s racing team, where he often carried out tests himself.

1909 led to the founding of Bugatti’s Molsheim factory, where a loan for ten cars and five airplane engines was carried out. From there, Bugatti never looked back.

Notable Bugatti Models

There are so many unique and special Bugatti models that have been released over the past 100 years that it’s hard to pick just a couple.

Released in 1924, the Bugatti Type 35 stands as one of the most successful race cars in automobile history. Winning over 2,000 races, it’s no surprise that this Grand Prix icon sold for three million dollars in a 2017 auction.

While Bugatti has been dominating racing in style since the early parts of the 20th century, more modern models such as the Bugatti Veyron have drawn mass amounts of interest from the public. Standing as one of the fastest cars on the market, the added luxury elements of the Bugatti Veyron makes the model one of the finest automobiles on the market.
