Car Consignment

Consignment Sales of Classic Cars. Classic vehicles such as Porsches, Mercedes, and Jaguars can light up the eye, and retain their value over time. But they are far from a “liquid” asset, and getting a good price is all about knowing the marketing and knowing how to sell the car. Fortunately, we offer “consignment sales” for luxury and classic cars at our Pleasanton, California lot. We’re known as the leader in classic car sales, so we get lots of attention from buyers.

How it Works: In a “consignment sale,” you remain owner of the vehicle. But you put it on our lot, and we handle all the hassles of selling your luxury or classic car. Consigning with us eliminates the stress of managing calls, emails, inspections, shipping, and paperwork. It’s what we do every day. To help maximize value, we ask sellers to include everything intended for the next owner—receipts, ownership documents, articles, spare parts, tools, manuals, and service books—all of which boost buyer confidence.

Sellers keep the original title but must provide a copy and proof of insurance if applicable. We carry liability coverage but not comprehensive insurance, so sellers should maintain their own policy until the vehicle is sold and paid.

Alternate Terms for “Consignment Sale” of a Classic Vehicle

There are many industry terms for this type of sale, including a “car broker,” “sell my car through a dealership,” “put my car up for auction,” “sell my car on commission,” or “sell a vehicle through an agent.”

All mean the same as “Consignment.” You retainer ownership of the classic car; our brokers do the entire sales process, making it easy for you!
