Details on 1965 Porsche 356C Karmann Coupe
1965 Porsche 356C Karmann Coupe: Excellent body gaps; solid garaged example; engine rebuilt; restored condition. Factory signal red 6407, black interior, loaded with rare original options: factory leather headrests; factory chrome wheels; factory chrome luggage rack; factory seat belts; factory trim strips; original tool kit. We are selling this car for a client who owns a large collection of Porsche cars. We originally listed this as a “numbers-matching” car until we noticed the engine number lacked the usual “P”. After digging into this we learned it apparently it has a “dealer replacement” engine: My understanding is that engines stamped at the factory (including warranty engines) should have a “P” before the engine number, and dealer-replacement engines lack the “P” because they are crate engines stamped by the Porsche dealer. Please note that we go to extents to document our cars in pictures and provide the most transparent listings on Ebay. Please study the pictures carefully rather than requesting descriptions. Please complete any inspections or ask any questions prior to bidding or committing to buy the car.
